Williams Group marketing + design was founded in 1993 by Mike and Brenda Williams. Prior to that time, Mike had worked in sports marketing in Los Angeles, holding management positions with Santa Anita Race Track, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Brenda was a manager in Bullock’s Department Stores head office, overseeing one of the merchandise buying programs. When the couple chose to relocate to Olympia, they saw a need for a full-service advertising agency, and The Williams Group was born. Mike oversaw operations for advertising and graphic design services, while Brenda ran the company’s advertising specialty and promotional items business.
